Hope and Anchor is a Grade II listed pub on Upper Street, in the London Borough of Islington which first opened its doors in 1880. The pub is a stones throw from Highbury & Islington tube station, The H&A is a magnet for the music lover where legendary bands like U2, The Police, The Stranglers and Madness first started out. Rock jukebox in the main bar. We have live music events on several nights a week and we have a theatre upstairs. Come along and enjoy our delicious food, drink and atmosphere at the Hope & Anchor.
