Crown – Covent Garden
About
Grade II listed 19th century pub on the Seven Dials in Covent Garden. Serving expertly-brewed real ales and other classic British drinks, a family-friendly and dog-friendly setting, within easy reach of a host of tourist attractions. Originally built in 1833, this traditional corner pub is located on Monmouth Street and part of the well-known seven-road junction designed by Thomas Neale in the 1690s. Despite the area being called Seven Dials, the initial plan was for just six roads to converge, as evidenced by the central column which defies its namesake with only six sun dials instead of seven! Situated just off Shaftesbury Avenue, The Crown is in the heart of London’s West End theatre district, as well as being perfectly place for exploring Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and Trafalgar Square. With its extensive drinks menu The Crown is the ideal place to relax and refuel after a busy day in the capital.
